I was told my Approved E visa to Egypt will not be accepted after October first and I cannot get one at the airport any more as we are travelling there October 3-11 and mailing will take over a month to process. This just changed and our travel company just informed us we need an approved visa from the Canadian consulate

As a Canadian, I am wanting to visit Egypt for 2 weeks as a tourist. Can I fill out the forms and mail them to the consulate or must I go to the consulate in person to obtain a tourist visa?
I am located in Alberta and the closest consulates showing are in Ottawa and Montreal. What are my options?
